Contour license purchases - VAT outside of EU?

On the order form for a Contour license there is a 25% surcharge for VAT. However, my company is location in the USA. It is my understanding that VAT should not be charged for exports outside of the EU:

Export of goods to customers (company or private individual) outside of the EU is free of VAT, but, as for intra-community sales, proof of dispatch/delivery to document zero-rating should be kept.

    Is this correct?

    Hi Arie,

Yup that's correct, if you create a profile on umbraco.com and your location is set to USA the VAT won't be charged.

Maybe you aren't signed in or your location isn't set to USA?

    Cheers,
    Tim
