    Upgrade version of Contour

    Hi

    I have a client and I need to upgrade the version of Contour that is on their site as they want the new functionality such as enable conditions fields.

    Is it possible and if so is it a large task to upgrade from V2 to V3 of Contour? Could somebody point me in the direction of the steps involved?

    Hey Ben,

    Upgrade instructions are available here http://our.umbraco.org/projects/umbraco-pro/contour/documentation/Installation/Upgrade , basicly it's an xopy of files and if going from v1 to v3 you'll also need to request an update page (that will update db and performs some other tasks)

    But please be aware that not all Contour versions are compatible with all Umbraco versions

    In short For version lower then 4.7 use 1.1.9 for version between 4.7 and 4.10 use 3.0.6 for everything else just use the latest stable

    So you might also want to upgrade Umbraco if you wish to run the latest version

    Hi Tim,

    Thanks for the prompt reply.

    We upgraded the site recently so its running 4.11.x so we should be fine to use the latest version.

    Ok then it should be pretty simple but be sure to take a backup just in case :)

    Ah and what's also good to know is that the conditional logic is only available on the new razor macro (not the old usercontrol one)
