    Textarea gets truncated

    Using Contour on a 4.5 installation, the textarea field when submitted sends an email where the textarea gets truncated in the email containing the character <$

    like blablalblabla<$abcdeg 

    shows in email as blablalblabla and the rest is truncated

    Is there any quick fix for this? As its a legacy installation I would prefer not to upgrade the core and looking for a quick fix rather.
