Umbraco team, under what circumstances would I need to override the Global.asax file within the root directory?
I'm going through a few articles and many seem to do this but don't explain why?
AFAIK I would override some methods like application start etc to perhaps log something or another simple task, but why would I need to do this in Umbraco (v 7 and 8 of it makes a difference)
This question applies to the front end and the back office of Umbraco 7 and 8.
