The target "AddUmbracoFilesToOutput" does not exist in the project.

    Hello All,

I have developed this site in Umbraco 7 MVC and now would like to deploy it to a folder locally.

Every time I hit the publish button, I get the below error message:

    Add Umbraco Files To Output

I have searched quite a bit for the meaning of this message but hardly came across anything that would suggest a solution.

I was wondering if any of y'all have come across an error like this.

    Please do let me know.

    Thanks in advance. Noel

    Hi Noel

What does your deploy settings look like? Am I right in asuming that the "AddUmbracoFileToOutput" is the name of your publish target?

Perhaps some screendumps would make it easier to help you out :)

I don't think you will be able to figure out the error message by searching on the specific text since I suspect that it's a very specific error in your setup relating to the configuration of your publish target setup.

Looking forward to hearing more from you.

    /Jan

    Hi Jan,

    Thanks for your reply.

The deploy settings stored in a file called 'localpublish.pubxml' in VS 2015 looks as follows: enter image description here

Screenshots of the error message that I get is as follows:

Output Window in Visual Studio: enter image description here

Error List in Visual Studio: enter image description here

Furthermore, I have come across this link but can't make sense of what this has to do with the publish. I have yet to find out about this.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks again, Noel
