Uploading SWF and Java scripted files in support of anyflip flipbooks to Umbraco

    Dear All

We are facing difficulties in being able to show our flipbooks that have been created in www.anyflip.com via Umbraco CMS.

    • If we store all of the files on a separate FTP server we are face with the username and password prior to viewing the flipbook.

    • If we attempt to upload the complete flipbook back end in to the media section of CMS we are told that it is restricted for images only.

Any suggestions how we can upload executable files that contain HTML, SWF and EXE files? Is there another non-strictive area to upload files that we can then link to the site?

    Regards

    Dave

in /Config/UmbracoSettings.config circa line 54, theres a list of disallowed file extensions for upload. SWF and HTML are in that list. You can just remove them, and then you will be able to upload your files.
