We've had to move an existing site from being a website to an application under a website. The problem is the existing media which I've already added has a path of /media/folder/filename.etc
If I create a new media item the path becomes /applicationName/media/folder/filename.etc, but I need the existing items to change their paths too. It won't let me remove the files or reupload them because it complains the media path is outside of the root of the application.
I can't delete the media files and start again because the paths of the media files have already been shared and recreating them would give them a new folder id in the path.

Paul showed me the solution to this - you can update the image path in the
dataNtext
field of the cmsPropertyData table. The images will then be displayed correctly again.
Thanks to Paul!
