    Cannot reset password for umbraco user

    We are using v7.6.1 and cannot reset passwords on the forgotten password page.

    The UI presents this message: Request password reset failed for email .........

    Is this due to legacy encoding?

    Hi Martin,

    I don't know much about legacy encoding etc but a couple of things spring to mind. First, do you have anything in your log files that may perhaps share a bit more information?

    Secondly, is email set up and working? I've seen this message when email wasn't set up correctly on one of my sites. It's probably a generic message however so not forced to be that.
