    Error while installing Umbraco: "the following site was not found in the configuration file"

    I followed the installation guide step by step, and I get this error when I try to run the website (step 6) from Visual Studio Code (v 1.21):

    The following site was not found in the configuration file: 'UmbracoCms-d0e72cf1-fdf3-46b3-af0a-63cf696585fd'

    I get the same error when I try to open the file in WebMatrix as in the manual installation guide. My group partner has also tried to follow the installation guides, and he gets the same error. Anybody knows what the problem may be?

    Our OS: Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Home

    Did you manage to resolve this? I have exactly the same problem. Back to visual studio for now!

    I was getting this error. I simply restarted Visual Code and it was resolved.
