We have a site with an umbraco CMS and while we have a generic user login, the person with admin login left the company and we are not able to reset the admin user (which also means we are not able to access / update global elements on the site). Any ideas on how to reset admin access?
when I login I can only see my login under the users - no visibility to the admin login. I can see that the admin created my account but can't can't update his account at all.
Thanks. Unfortunately working in a bit of a black box. I know where the DNS is hosted but not the site content / database. I think I might need to continue to try and investigate who that contact would be.

If you have access to the database you could change the email address used to your own and then follow the password reset.

You might find this package useful too if you have access to where the site is hosted.
