    Should I upgrade to Umbraco 8.1.0?

    Hi everybody. I am using Umbraco 8.0.2 and I am currently planning to upgrade to version 8.1.0 but I find that quite a lot of people make mistakes when upgrading to 8.1.0, should I upgrade? Or wait for bug fixes and upgrades?

    Hi Nick,

    You should always test what ever change you do. 8.1 has a lot of bugfixes + some breaking changes.

    Other than that: GO!!

    Umbraco keeps improving in every release, so to get the best performing website, you should keep up with the updates :)

    Hey Nick,

    I would say upgrade, but remember to backup first. I had no issues upgrading to 8.1 other than dealing with the breaking changes (of which there aren't many) and these are highlighted in the version specific upgrade notes.

    As Soren says, it's good to test first, but I would say it's definitely worth the update.

    Thanks for the advice, I am making backups and upgrades. Hope that there will not be many errors
