    Missing Upload area in Media Root only

    Site upgraded from 7.4.1 via 7.5.14, 7.6.13, 7.15.1 to 7.15.2

    By 7.15.1 I'd noticed the upload area at the top of the Media section was missing but only for the root. It was there if you opened any subfolder.

    Also the Create dialogue only shows "Folder" whereas for subfolders it shows Folder, Image and File.

    It's the same in 7.15.2 so I guess I've messed up something along the way. Thing is I have no idea where to look. I've checked User start nodes and they're correct.

    I have upgraded other sites to 7.15.1 and their Media Root Upload areas are fine.

    Any clue would be appreciated.

    Hey Craig,

    If you look at the Image media type in the developer section, go to Permissions, can you check if it's "Allowed at root" ? And do the same for File media type. I suspect they aren't and as such giving you the symptoms you are seeing.

    Hi Nick,

    Thanks, that's exactly what it was! I never visit those settings (in the Settings section ;) ) so wasn't aware their permissions could be an issue.
