We are a foundation spending every Euro received into the project/country we support.
We have been working for years with our Umbraco based website which says the login Umbraco 4, most be likely version 4.
Our hosting party has upgraded their servers saying it cannot support php version 5 anymore due to security threats.
We do have now a big issue as the website is out of order and we cannot even login. Login was possible yesterday, getting SQL errors when retrieving data, but now trying to login it even doesn't accept me anymore. Going to the main URL of the website it says: Looks like there's still work to do.
Does somebody has an advice? Can we transfer the site easily to an old server, just for the time being so my developer can extract all data to another platform? Or can we upgrade easily (I know a lot about IT in general, but unfortunately not about Umbraco and php)?
In the back-end we have a database with hundreds of children with collected data over the past 15 years. You can imagine, we really want the data back and re-use it. We do have plans to build a new website, but we didn't succeed yet.
