    v4.5.2 TinyMCE stripping tags

    hi

    i think i am probably missing something obvious, but i am having the following issue:

    When using the standard rich text editor, i highlight some text and click the 'B' to embolden the text. a strong tag is added and the text is indeed bold.

    BUT, when i re-edit or just re-save the page, the strong tag is replaced by a span, and all formatting goes.

    i have tried disabling the TIDY functionality and also rewriting the allowed tags, but no joy

     

    anyone have any ideas??

    Hi,

    It seems this might be an issue with the Chrome browser [v6.0.472.55]

    i am not a javascript-y typre, so i have no idea why or how, but would appreciate some suggestions.

    I generally avoid using the Rich Text Editor with Chrome as I've found there are some issues with it. I'm not sure if it's been fixed in the latest version but in 4.0.1 you couldn't work with tables in the RTE in Chrome.
