Umbraco admin not loading via www.site.com/umbraco

I have a dev site that was working just fine all last week. Monday, I go to login to Umbraco and I keep getting a page not found. Nothing has changed since 5pm Friday. However, now, the only way I can get the login screen is by going to www.site.com/umbraco/default.aspx. I've double checked IIS and default.aspx is set as the first default document.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Connie,

Can't you access the umbraco admin via www.site.com/umbraco/ (mind the trealing slash)? If using www.site.com/umbraco, umbraco will search for a document with the name 'umbraco', resulting in a 404 if not there.

Yes, www.site.com/umbraco/ does work but www.site.com/umbraco was working just fine last week and works on my staging and production servers. I wonder what changed over the weekend.

Hey, was there a resolution to this bug? I have the same problem. Website works but I am unable to log in to Umbraco, I enter username and password but the interface just hangs on the loading screen.
