    Getting a URL for my local Umbraco site

    Hi guys. My first go at using Umbraco has been a local installation on my Windows 7 machine using Microsoft Web Matrix.

    If i want to send the site to people to show them it, how would I go about moving my local site to make it available with a URL rather than only bein able to see it at localhost:.... on my own machine?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Hi Lee,

    You can purchase a hosing account - there are cheap one that will give you a good value for your money. 

    You can also buy a domain, though you not have to have one - you can get a temp url from your hosing provider
