I installed 4.9.0, but experience problems editing master pages in IE.
Newlines are rendering incorrect, it is really unusable like this.
Enter adds a row (with rownumber), but the html stays on the previous row etc.
Any fix available for this?
I assume you mean IE9? Did you use a clean install or an upgrade? If it's an upgrade it might help to clear the client dependency cache.

It was a new clean 4.9.0 install.
The problem occurs in IE9 (also IE8 mode, probably also IE7 mode).
In Chrome it works as it should.

Masterpage editor unusable in IE?
