    Restrict Useraccount

    hello,

we have the following structure in our content section

    - en
      - Page1
      - Careers
        - subCareers
    - de
       - Page 1
       - Careers
         - subCareers

Now i only want to allow the access to the "Careers" section for a specific user.
I tried by setting the start node to 'en - Careers' but this will not show the german tree "de - Careers" of course.

Is there any way to allow only specific sections within the full tree for specific users?

    Thanks

    Hi Dominik

Perhaps you should try looking at the User group permission package - this will allow you to define access on a node basis in the content section.

Be aware that the current version (as far as I know) is not yet compatible with v4.9+ though...but if you politely ping Richard on Twitter then he'll perhaps send you an updated version, which is.

Hope this is what you're looking for.

    /Jan

    HI Jan,

    Thanks,

Is there also any other way how i can achieve this without using a third party tool?

Perhaps the user will see all of the other pages but is not allowed to save or publish them?

    THanks

    Hi Dominik

Not that I can think of currently. I've been using the above package succesfully previously.

Otherwise I think you should try doing some custom stuff using the API perhaps but I think that's a much bigger task :)

    /Jan
