User permissions - not showing current status

    Hi,

I have setup a user to have access only to certain areas of the website. When I go back to edit the user's permissions I do not see what is currently selected for that users.

    my umbraco version is 4.7.2

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    R

    Hi Roma

Could you perhaps post a screendump of the issue you mentioned above? I'm not sure I quite understand it :)

the first screen shot is when i am applying the permission to a specific user...

after i click on OK i get the Saved message .. I then navigate away from this page to any other page and when i return this is what i see for the same user..

i would expect to see that the "fr" node is checked and showing the current permissions applied to this user.

    Thanks for the help,

    Roma

    Hi Roma

    Aaah, now I see...

So if you click the "fr" node you can actually still see what permissions the user has for this particular node, right?

I agree that the UX stinks a bit here and hopefully this is some of the stuff that will be adressed once the Umbraco Belle project really kicks off.

    Cheers,

    Hi,

Yes you are right .. if I click on the "fr" node I do see the currect permissions.

that means when I click on "en" i should see no permissions set ...... which is not the case :)

This is confusing for the user, because they think the permissions are not exclusive.

    Cheers,

    R
