Unable to edit JavaScript File in Settings - asks user to log-in again...

    ...in an endless loop.

I'm not sure why this should be the case, I am perfectly able to edit templates and css files. I recently added a new user using the Writer access role, but this shouldn't have affected anything on the Admin user, which is untouched.

We are using a third-party device called AICache to cache JS files, but when I access the file via the web, the file is being returned correctly. I assume editing the JS file in Umbraco will retrieve the file from the file storage anyway, not a http get?

    Many thanks

    James

Hi James and welcome to our :)

Is there any specific reason why you would want to edit the script file using the Umbraco backoffice instead of using a proper editor outside of Umbraco?

I know that this does not answer your question but perhaps it could be used as a "workaround". Not sure what is going on with the login stuff.

    /Jan
