How can I disable a member in umbraco? (without changing his membership in a group)
Also how can I change memeber's group? I was trying to do it multiple times but when I go back to the member I can see the old group setting is back there. Why isn't allowing me to change it?
Why do you want to disable the member without removing him/her from the group? I'm not sure it's possible but would like to hear you reasons as to why you want to do it that way.

Because a new member can register online and then remain disabled until an admin activates him and let him use the website...
And the admin must know what group the member registered for...
