Is there a way to use packages to import media in such a way that it will appear in the media section together with folders and subfolders? Like an import/export type thing?
There are some packages that offers something like this when needing to move a site from a dev environment to other environments. There is the pro-package by Umbraco called Courier, which requires a license. However perhaps Conveyor is worth checking out? https://our.umbraco.org/projects/backoffice-extensions/conveyor
There are other packages that might be of interest as well like uMport for instance
