Richtext Editor best practices.. very tricky!

    Hello guys,

I would like to set up the RT editor for some of my content management on what i call a 'Basic Page', which consits of one main content area. I have started playing around with the RT editor (tinyMCE3). My issues come whe i want to start using Images.

Its very tricky to get the image to sit where you want it in relation to text wrapping around it. I made a few styles, like 'float right w/blue border' and although the work, they are very in-consistent. To top this off, i am experiencing the dissapearing text problem in IE7 (i have tested) and cant get around that.

So my question would be; does anyone have any recommendations on best practaces? My user will need to be able to write a page with possibly multiple images which could be floated to the left or right.

    Thanks in advance!

    /Alex

    Hi Alex

Have you followed the guidelines from this wiki entrance when you setup your rte styles in your project? http://our.umbraco.org/wiki/how-tos/customizing-the-wysiwyg-rich-text-editor-%28tinymce%29

If not I think there are some good pointers in here.

    Hi Jan,

Thanks for the response. I have followed those instructions - they are good instructions and getting the styles to work is no problem at all. The problem lies in adding the images and the dissapearing text in IE7.
