Is it possible to add categories to events? I have a need to display a number of different categories of events that will appear in the same calendar.
I will also need to display the different event by using a different CSS colour on the front end calendar, just want to know if your package will allow for these extensions.

uCalendar supports ulimited calendars. Use a separate calendar for each category. Each calendar can have a color for events.
v1.1 has been delayed in it's release, but when released will allow displaying events from multiple calendars on one UI.

Is it possible to hook up a google map with the location field?
Because there is an open API, you could do this.
I will note this as a feature for 1.1 release.
