    Uninstall UComment Package manually

and I was doing so well...

I was excitedly nearing the end of my development phase and installed the ucomment package without reading the prerequisite of .Net 4. I'm running 3.5 so my question is can I uninstall this manually or do I have to start from scratch?

    Thanks, Eddy

I found the installedPackages.config and deleted all the files by hand and it seems to have done the trick.

Just to clarify for those like me who's stumbling across this!

    The path is: yourwebsite.com/data/packages/installed/installedPackages.config

In order to remove a package manually, if your dashboard has been destroyed for some reason, you simply remove the entire <package></package>.

This is not a cure-all, as there may still be some files/markup related to the deleted package in the /App_Plugins, /bin, and /Config folders.

To fully delete a package, track down all the included files in the

My question: is there any downside to deleting packages this way? I noticed that all packages in the /installedPackages.config have an ID associated with them.
