    comment moderation dashboard

    Great Package! I have uComment installed and the form seems to work fine, including the progress and success messages. I've verified that the comments are successfully being populated in the database. However, I do not have the dashboard showing on the main Content page in the admin section. Where is it best that I start looking for errors in this case? The comments are not being displayed on the page where the form exists, but I'm not sure if I have to moderate them before they will show up? Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Update: the comments are correctly being displayed on the page, but I'm not seeing the dashboard on the Content page.

    Jack,

    Take a look at Dashboard.config in the "config" folder.

    Perfect! The package created a second "content" area in the config file. I moved the "Comments" tab up into the same area as the other tabs in my dashboard and it's working great. Thanks!

    I'm trying to find this right now and I see this code in Dashboard.config:

      <section alias="Comments">
    <areas>
    <area>content</area>
    </areas>
    <tab caption="Comments">
    <control>/usercontrols/UComment/UCommentModeration.ascx</control>
    </tab>
    </section>

    But I don't know what to do with this.  Can anyone explain how I access comment moderation?  I have successfully gotten comments to appear on my page, but I cannot find anything allowing me to do comment moderation.  I want to test deleting and editing comments as an admin, if it will allow me to do so, but can't figure where I'm supposed to go to do it.  Please dumb down any responses to this to Newbie level for me. ;)  Thanks.

    That puts it in a tab in the Content section.

    So if you click on content or when you first log in you will see a new tab with content on it.
