I noticed that installing from the Package Repository in Umbraco back-end the version 1.3 was being installed. So I downloaded the version 1.5 and installed it as a local package, but for my surprise that version wasn't doing anything. So I deinstalled it and then reinstalled from the Package Repository (that is version 1.3) again and it's redirecting again.... It's there a bug in version 1.5 combined with Umbraco 4.7.1.1?
I just installed a clean umbraco v4.7.1.1 instance and downloaded 301 URL Tracker version 1.5. Then I renamed a node and the rename was succesfully mapped to this node. Also visiting this old URL redirects to the node without a hassle.
So my conclusion is; it works fine. Must have someting to do with your upgrade. I'd say to update from 1.3 to 1.5, just copy over the 301 URL Tracker assembly from the zip archive.
Have you tried creating a redirect from the settings section? I mean without renaming the node, just creating a redirect directly in the settings "301 URL Tracker" node.
On Umbraco 4.7.1.1 version 1.5 doesn't work

Yes I did. What is the problem you're facing then?
Please give me more details.
What I did was jsut to create a redirection on the "301 URL Tracker" node to redirect from an old url:
/en/old_section/old_subsection/
to
/en/new_section/new_subsection/ (well this part is handled by your code so I don't know exactly)
Do you need more details?
Well you could at least tell me what happens when you go to the 'old' url... What's the HTTP status code? What's the response?
is working on a reply...
