I often provide Umbraco solution websites to small companies with low or medium computer skills.
Often, I don't give administrators access to the Settings-section for thair own sake - so that they don't mess arround with the Templates or Stylesheets.
But I see no reason why they shouldn't be given access to doing 301-mappings on their own when it has no influenze on the generel website.
Therefore it would be great if 301 was given its own section so that I could grant administrators access to it without risking the entire site.
It does make sense, but I don't think it's necessary for everyone to give the 301 URL Tracker it's own section.
You could ofcourse do it yourself, but it needs one DB edit and you have to create your own custom section. First create your own custom section with one of the many tutorials on the web, then edit the table 'umbracoAppTree' and set 'appAlias' to the name of the custom section you created where 'treeAlias' = 301URLTracker.
I hope you can do something with this information :-)
