if I add this to the old url filed as somepath/some%20file%20with%20spaces%20in%20its%20name.pdf then the redirect doesnt work
if I add it before it gets encoded - ie somepath/some file with spaces in its name.pdf then it does work however when it is saved the url will get encoded so any further changes to the rule will no longer work unless the unencoded version is reapplied
Any ideas why this would be? I am on umbraco version 4.11.10 and url tracker version 2.4.2
Yes I do have an update :-)
By chance I looked into this last evening and fixed it, just need to release the bits, but I fixed more stuff so need to test some things first, before I do release it.
Redirect with url encoded chars issue
Hi
First thanks for a great package!
I have come across an issue when old urls have url encoded chars in them
eg say we had a url http://somedomain.com/somepath/some%20file%20with%20spaces%20in%20its%20name.pdf
if I add this to the old url filed as somepath/some%20file%20with%20spaces%20in%20its%20name.pdf
then the redirect doesnt work
if I add it before it gets encoded - ie somepath/some file with spaces in its name.pdf
then it does work however when it is saved the url will get encoded so any further changes to the rule will no longer work unless the unencoded version is reapplied
Any ideas why this would be?
