Does DocType Extensions work with 4.8?

I have umbraco v4.8 and it doesn't seem to work.

After confirming conversion and clicking 'Convert', I get the progress indicator and then it just stops without indication.

    The doctypes do not change.

I just tried it on a 4.9.1installation, and it's working but not for all nodes.

Sometimes i get this error back:
