This error occurs for me when also logged into the front end as a member.
If you are logged in both the front and back end of your site at the same time, then when picking a bundle you will get a 401 error, and when trying to edit a dynamic stylesheet, you just get the spinning dots.
Logout of the front end (i.e the website) and then it all works. (optimus v1.2.1)
I just installed this plugin and am using Umbraco 7.2.2. I get a 401 error whenever I try to create a bundle for Scripts or Styles. I found that when I was trying to create a script bundle it was trying to open the following path: /App_Plugins/Optimus/Index?virtualPath=~/bundles/DetailsPage&bundleType=script
And for styles: /App_Plugins/Optimus/Index?virtualPath=~/bundles/DetailsPage&bundleType=style
As a test I gave the Everyone user full access to the App_Plugins/Optimus folder, but I still get the 401 error.
401 - Unauthorized error on existing bundles
I'm developing a site and have previosly created some bundles, both styles and scripts, but suddenly I'm getting a 401 error when trying to edit them.
Umbraco 7.1.4

Server Error
Hi, could you please screen shot the entire window as I can't work out where that issue is occurring?
Well I had the sidebar menu, but the main window was just the above error.
But it works fin again today.
I haven't had any problems with the package before, so I'm chalking this one up to some weird freak coincidence that will probably never happen again.
This is the same error I get.

I am not using any login on my frontend, so logging out of the frontend is sadly not a solution for me. Any other ideas on how to fix this 401 issue?
