Configuring uCommerce license after site migration
Hello,
I'm in the process of migrating an Umbraco based site with uCommerce installed over to a new server and am now getting the "uCommerce Developer Edition" banner displayed in the site's header region.
I've already configured a staging.domain.com alias to show my client the site in it's new environment so everything looks normal from their perspective on the "demo version", but I'm have issues tracking down what changes need to be made for the new server to take over the license and have the old server stop using it.
Did you install an license on the old site? If not you can get one from one from the uCommerce site.
If you have a license installed in the existing site please delete the .lic file in the root of the site. The .lic file is the activation file, which ties the license to the site. Each key is good for a couple of activations so you'll be fine reactivating it. If it doesn't work you've probably reached the limit of your key. Please get in touch if this happens so we can reset the key for you.
Yes the license was installed on the old site, and it looks like the limit on the key has been reached. What information do you need from me to get the limit reset?

Any suggestions on a starting place?
Thanks!

Hello Søren,
Yes the license was installed on the old site, and it looks like the limit on the key has been reached. What information do you need from me to get the limit reset?
Thanks and talk to you soon!
Hi again,
Just wondering where I can send the information on the site I'm migrating to, and what information is required to get the key reset.
Thanks!
