I notice in uCommerce that you can select a currency to use at the store level (in the Common tab) but that you set Price Groups at the Catalog level (with a Price Group being a combination of a currency and a VAT rate). As far as I can determine it's the Price Group on the Catalog that actually determines the currency of the prices that are displayed for products within the Catalog. So what is the purpose of selecting a currency for a store? What does this do?
As a side-note the store currency is a great example of the roots of uCommerce: Originally it grew from a hobby project that Lasse and I maintained for a a while before we released it to the public at Codegraden in 2009. Being something we worked on during long nights some features made it in wihtout much planning and proved to be useful for custom scenarios, but not so much for the defaults, so we kept the setting around :)

Hi Dan,
By default uCommerce doesnt actually use the store currency for anything. You can use it as a fall-back if you need it for custom scenarios.
Thanks, Soren - that was the conclusion I'd come to, but just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something.

Hope this helps.
